Rare Briggs Abstract Shimmering Floral on Green Crewel Embroidery Kit

It's truly a pleasure to discover a challenging embroidery piece that is a delight for the eye and a challenge for the mind. This Shimmering abstract Floral is from an ad placed in Woman & Home magazine; of Britain's Almagamated Press family publications which started in 1926. An interesting work attributed to the great Wm Briggs/ Penelope series, which employs felt applique embroidery, tulle embroidery work and a fascinating array of stitching in black and white Anchor flosses, and shimmering silver lurex thread, and transparent nylon threads on a sea green fabric. Absolutely stunning! This vintage circa 1960's mail order kit has been carefully curated and is ready to stitch!
