Rare Colonial Williamsburg Red Folkart Applique Wallhanging Kit

This lovely wall hanging kit is a combination of two American traditions. This design is based on a documented example of nineteenth- century folk art in the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk art center in Williamsburg, Virgina. The technique is applique, which is a variation of patchwork, or as in this case applying cut outs to a background. Applique is uniquely an American craft, and one which you'll enjoy creating this wall hanging, or re-purposing the appliqued quilting squares to highlight a special bedcover!
