Rare Henning Abandoned Covered Wagon Crewel Embroidery Kit

Carol and Don Henning's gorgeous designs for the crewel embroidery enthusiast are hard to find, and high in demand. In this particular piece, they shared a little to give us a glimpse of what they were thinking when they created this beauty. "A striking picture of yesteryear. From the Conestoga Valley in Pennsylvania, came thousands of unique wagons that carried the frontier westward. With their wide rimmed wheels, graceful boat shape, and sturdy construction braced with hand forged irnowork, these canvas -topped wagons took merchandise, military supplies and the families' household posessions across muddy prairies,over rocky hills and through streams. Some of the settlers prospered and some died bravely. The occupants of this wagon and farm have left this romantic, desolate scene" You'll work this countryside design on a poly/cotton fabric, in Persian Acrylic yarns.
