Michael LeClair’s long standing reputation in the textile design community is second to none. His pieces range from whimsical to elegant, for stitchers in every discipline. This amazing find is one of his cross over pieces, entitled Tree of Life Sampler which he did for the Elsa Williams . A simple alpha-numeric sampler is worked at the top of the design; with a traditional tree of life doe in Patenayan wools and cotton flosses at the bottom. The top portion of the design is stamped for accuracy, and basic stitches are used to create the tree in a beautiful contemporary color palette.
