Beatrix Potter had a lifetime fascination with rhymes. After the release of her 1902 book, The Tale of Peter Rabbit, she created a small collection of illustrations and rhymes, and eventually, in 1917, her nursery rhyme concept book was published and called Appley Dapply's Nursery Rhymes.
