A bouquet of ranunculus says, “I am dazzled,” and this needlepoint picture of a ranunculus bouquet certainly lives up to that promise. In vibrant shades of gold, pink, orange and red, the cluster of bright flowers seems ready to burst out of the picture.According to legend, the Coyote was throwing his eyes up into the air and catching them until an Eagle flew past and took them away. In order to see, Coyote used some nearby buttercups to create new eyes for himself, which is why buttercups, or Ranunculus flowers, are sometimes called “Coyote’s Eyes.” Whatever name is used, there is no denying the breathtaking beauty and intricate detail of the flowers in this picture.
