Rare Sutherland Harvest CrossStitch Kit Summer Day Wheat Sheaves

Although artist Hal Sutherland was best known as an animator for Disney and Filmation, he was also known as an artist with a keen attention to detail.  This counted cross stitch adaptation of his picture, “Wheat Harvest,” is a perfect example of his style. While the men cut the wheat and sharpen their tools, the ladies also do their share of the work, tying off the sheaves of wheat or pouring a drink of water for a man on a well-deserved break.  The ladies all wear proper bonnets to shield their faces from the summer sun, while fluffy white clouds dot the blue sky above.
