non-traditional Christmas sampler features cross stitch, specialty stitches, cutwork bands and beads. A green and red garland accented with metallic trim is complimented by whitework-style specialty stitches reminiscent of snowflakes.The focal point of the sampler is an old-fashioned winter scene of a horse-drawn sleigh carrying a passenger and a freshly cut evergreen. A versatile design which can be displayed the entire winter, it has a nostalgic feel to it and seems to evoke and old fashioned, "simpler days gone by" feeling for many folks. This smaller piece was designed and intended to give stitching challenge and gratification for the novice as well as the more advanced stitcher.
