Excellent designs for the beginning stitcher, the kits in the Spanish Rider series are worked entirely in chain stitch on fine Scottish linen, which was  made of specially selected flax to duplicate the effect of hand-loomed fabric which was produced in the 17th century.  All three designs were adapted from an old piece of Spanish blackwork, which was one of the first forms of the tree of life. The figures on horses symbolize the knights of the Holy Grail.  Beautiful displayed alone or in a grouping, be sure to check for all the pieces in the series.
