Another exquisite gift to the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation by Cora Ginsburg, the silk apron that inspired this reproduction for today's crewel embroidery enthusiast is a true treasure. An interesting design originally stitched in silk threads over a very heavy paper onto an ivory silk "ground" ( main background fabric) , the cornucopia apron dates to approx 1720-1740. This beautiful licensed reproduction by Elsa Williams is worked in beautiful cotton flosses of pale spring blues, cream, pinks  on a creamy linen background to achieve a very close reproduction you'll be happy to display for many years to come!
