Here is a delightful crewel adaptation of Beatrix Potter’s “Timmie Willie in a Pea Pod which has a chubby little brown mouse enjoying a snooze . Timmy ( Timmie) Willie is the quintessential " country mouse" who falls asleep in a hamper of vegetables after eating peas and is carried to the city and finds a place to stay with Johnny Town-mouse. Finding City life not to his preferences, he soon leaves for his own quiet county home via the same hamper which brought him to the city.
Although Potter is best known for her beloved children’s books, this picture is also a perfect reminder of her love of nature and interest in conservation. Long out of production, this is a must have and rarely seen piece from Erica Wilson's Creative Needlework Society series.
