Rare Wilson Oriental Crewel Embroidery Kit Orchids Gold Finch

Artist Erica Wilson was known as the “Julia Childs of Embroidery” for the lovely designs she created for needlework, such as this delicate Oriental picture of orchids and a tiny yellow goldfinch. Pink and white blossoms line the thin branches, while the little yellow bird perches on a blade of grass surrounded by tiny white flowers.  In the background, a simple outline of the sun suggests a warm summer day. You'll work in smooth cotton flosses on linen to create this treasure simply titled Oriental Etching. Absolutely lovely!
