Copied from the sampler worked by Sarah Salter, this reproduction kit duplicates charming scene of farm animals and birds coexisting peacefully in the summertime. A rare example of American needlework design, because it combines an embroidered picture with alphabet lists and verses. Sarah’s name, date of birth and age have been omitted from the reproduction so that the 20th century worker may personalize the work. What a great addition to your Colonial home! This treasure arrived in overly shopworn packaging which has been replaced to keep piece clean and ready to ship.
