We are so pleased to be able to present this adorable artwork reproduction for our Colonial Williamsburg counted cross stitch collectors! Hotch Potch, the limber “posture master” of the 18th century who bends, twists and stretches to form the letters of the alphabet makes for a family friendly alphabet sampler in this hard to find design by Elsa Williams' Williamsburg collection. *Note* Manufacturer printing error on outside of package. This is the design that is worked on 28 count Irish Linen, not the 14 count Aida. 
Hotch Potch first appeared on a 1782 print, created by Carrington Bowles in London, as “The Comical Hotch Potch or the Alphabet turn’d Posture-Master” and immediately gained popularity throughout London and colonial America as a way to help boys and girls learn the letters of the alphabet. Stitch this treasure for your own Williamsburg collection, or that of someone special. These jovial characters will certainly put a smile on your face as you stitch them into life!
